Annemarie is an Registered Specialist in Equine Medicine. She graduated from University College Dublin, Ireland in 2003, and spent time working in mixed animal practice in Ireland before immigrating to Australia.
Annemarie then worked in a well reputed racetrack practice in Adelaide for four years, during which time she passed the Australian membership examination in equine surgery.
In 2010, she made the move to Western Australia, and spent 6 years working at The Animal Hospital at Murdoch University. During this time she completed a three year specialist training programme in equine medicine and surgery, passed the ACVIM board specialist exam in large animal internal medicine and completed a research Master’s degree focussing on Inflammatory Airway Disease. She is now a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and one of the only specialists in Equine Medicine working in private practice in WA.
Annemarie has a special interest in all things medicine ranging from sick foals, to poorly performing racehorses, to the geriatric paddock pet.
